A young woman who inspired me, she once remarked - upon seeing my artwork, that my Graffiti was like none other that she had seen. There's a reason for that; A1R5N1P3R originates styles, A1R5N1P3R does not copy styles.

Chronology:

OrbitBMXmedia cover of #1, published winter 1995 photo credit: A1R5N1P3R all rights reserved

Styles For Miles (SFM) covers of #3 and #4

Move Magazine (Move) covers of #3 and #5

OrbitBMXmedia cover of #0, published 1995, featured rider on cover: A1R5N1P3R, performing his signature trick the "Surfer Nose-Wheelie" which no other rider on earth has managed to execute. Estimated speed: 40 mph.

Air, Gad Zooks / 5av / Sports, boston

Air, train sketch, October 27th, 1992, 1.27p

Air, photocopy used to plot a 48 hour (no sleep) painting spree with Free5 and Muze, both of whom I taught how to rack and write.

Air, photocopy used to plot a 48 hour (no sleep) painting spree with Free5 and Muze, both of whom I taught how to rack and write.

Air, Gad Zooks, Bacteria Style, December 9th, 1993

Air, GZ, pencil sketch, estimated to be somewhere around 1991

Air, GZ, photocopy made with a BICpen sketch done in someones blackbook. Estimated sometime around 1991.

Air, train sketch, January 16th, 1995.

Move, sketch by Air GZ, Wednesday June 8th, 1994 drawn from 4a to 6a.

slightly lighter picture of the same sketch listed directly above.

Air GZ, train sketch, August 18th, 1993; strict styles.

Air GZ, March 15th, 8p, 1994. The pager number is over ten years old, good luck with asking questions now.

Air GZ, power house sketch, August 18th, 1993. this was actually done the same day as the strict styles sketch. In fact Free5 accused me of having done these earlier and pretending to freestyle them in front of him and muze because they put me on the spot to create something new.

Rin, pencil sketch by Air GZ for Corinne, one of the most beautiful women I've ever made passionate love to. Estimated to be sometime around 1994.

A1R5N1P3R and Patricia, not really fair to her, she is by all rights hotter than J-lo, no lie. Puerto Rican and Irish, and a body that hurt men to see passing by.

Sonia, pen sketch by Air GZ, sex magic. Sonia Vanessa was one of the most powerful loves of my life, women lusted after her, and men wept. She was/is a goddess. Estimated to be sometime around 1998.

Air GZ, train sketch, December 7th, 1996.

Air, simple style for panels, estimated to be around 1992.

Aij101, pen sketch estimated to be around 1981. My very first Graffiti sketch. Inspired by the girl I sat next to in math class, none other than Roxanne Shante. "Yo you draw good, I bet you could do Graffiti real fly." Next day I showed her the sketch and she beamed. She was alot thinner back then, not that big girls aren't hot, just saying...

Air GZ, pencil sketch that later appeared at 238 the bridge (Bronx, NY), a hall of fame which seems to be lost to us now. This was my first piece, a trasition from bomber to masterpiecer / king, so I sarcastically included arrows, because we all have to have our own arrows...

Air GZ, Elk Horn style, photocopy from blackbook I did for someone. Estimated to be around 1993-1994.

letter R by Air GZ, August 22nd, 1991.

letter N by Air GZ, August 22nd, 1991. This was done in the same "run" as the letter R. I would lock myself away in my room with reams of paper and just sketch, I'd call them "runs" and I can honestly say I entered into a dream state and produced totally new styles that amazed people at the time. It's what I do.

In the Graffiti world, the term king is used to describe an individual who has mastered all schools of Graffiti, one who has few peers skill-wise. Marker, Sticker, Outlines, Fill-Ins, Simple Styles, Masterpieces, Streets, Rooftops, Train Stations, Highways, Trucks, Frieghts, Subway Cars. To have done it all, and rocked it well, you would know what it's like to be A1R5N1P3R or the few who can say they are as good or perhaps even better. Paper tigers cannot claim to be kings, permission wall painters cannot claim to be kings, only those who have the balls to be men, and risk all for their art may stake claim to that title. But it just so happens others called me a King before I felt I had earned it.

  • Air, do you have any of the old move SFM or orbit Bmx mags left? you sent me some years ago. Ps Sly says HI.

  • @TOPTACO indeed I do. Tell sly and wombat I said hi as well.

  • you were down with 5AV and Sports crew with Alert, Ryze, etc?

  • @shattori1 I would count Ryze as a friend, even though I haven't seen / spoken to him in years. I just kinda fell off the map and continued to sketch and paint on my own. Too many biters locally. Alert as cool, was more of a pen pal, but still very cool people in my book.

That I would feel comfortable enough to share these sketches you would have to then ask yourself what I am putting up now.

  • @A1R51P3R just beautiful to see Raw Art with Passion dripping off it. Thank you for sharing your personality with the art you have shown. Its is great to see original a person that know what they want in life.

Are you working on any new art in the future.

  • @recklesslifegnr There's tons more, but I need a slide scanner for the bulk of my work. If you really did enjoy this at all, I'd have to say the best is yet to come. I spent a few years painting landscapes, recently was working on a portrait that I guess won't get done, but I don't know when or if I'll show that work.
