@SGpro13 You only need to line the JDI between one of the cabinets and the head, not both.

Really nice review man!

Question, just purchased one of these and waiting for it to arrive. I use a Marshall full stack and I typically use both cabs. The radial only has one input for one speaker, so if I hook up with both cabs and only one hooked to the radial, will I damage any equipment? Or should I just use the one cab? Thanks! Great video!

Thanks for this - the comparison you did was really great. Also, thanks for recording it at 720p - i hate when reviews/demos aren't recorded with high sound quality.

Hi great demo, Could you run this as if it were like the effects loop for your pedal board to the PA, and have Overdrives and distortion still go to a mic'd amp?

@NatedogsYouchoob This box is built to handle a speaker level thru-put, so it probably wouldn't work too well. The balanced signal being sent to the mixer would be much too quiet. A Radial JDI would work, but it doesn't have any speaker modelling so it would sound awful. There's probably other speaker sim boxes that would work as you describe, probably built by palmer or H&K.

Really nice review. Thanks for doing it. Radial should take the time to produce something like this. At first, I preferred the sound of the SM57. But after a few listens, I realized my ears were being tricked because the SM57 track is slightly louder. If I compensate with my volume know, they both sound good. Different, but good. SM57 has a bit more 'weight' in the bottom (proximity effect). But the JDX has a more uniform frequency plot without the peaks/valleys/'phasey' sound.

@jtroska Thanks for the props. I tried to keep the volume levels between them the same, for that reason. I prefer the sound of the SM57 on the cabinet, but that wasn't really the point of the video. I just wanted to show that the JDX sounds fine for it's intended uses.
I should add that since making this video, I haven't used the JDX at all. Maybe I should throw it in my sound kit and use it at my next show.

Hey, my amp seems to be picking up tons of feedback when used through the JDX, when I hit the ground lift, the feedback goes away, however, picks up radio frequencies from radio talk shows that I can hear through my PA, any tips on how to resolve this??

@SGpro13 What do you mean by "feedback"? What type of amp and cabinet are you using? How is it hooked up?
