I won't mind to hear that engine all day long!!!! not like today's quiet engines wich are boring. Every engine back then had their distinctive sound....

Cummins NH220 (743 cid). This truck, from 1967, was originally a tandem-axle model NT950D.
A 1979 version of this would be tagged as a Ford Louisville LNT9000 and its standard engine would be a Cummins NTC290 Big Cam II mated to a Fuller Roadranger RT910 transmission, while optional engines include various other Cummins Big Cammers as well as the Cat 3406 and the Detroit Diesel 6-71, 8V71 and 6V92TA.
