92 Jeep Cherokee XJ with 6" Lift and 33x12.50 tires. My jeep has been suffering from horrible death wobble. I have been trying to figure this out for a while now. Fixed it last night after I took this video. Turned out to be a bad tie rod end on my trac-bar.
look inside the left wheel well where the steering box mounts, sheet metal is probly cracked and ready to grenade, you've got a time bomb in your hands

I've got a 93 XJ with 4" lift and started getting the death wobble recently. I replaced the track bar with the Kevin's Off Road drop bracket and adjustable track bar and thus far the problem is fixed. This was after replacing the ball joints, steering stablizer, and rotating the tires.... Just a suggestion, the've got a death wobble video posted on youtube

it could be a bad tie rod end or a bad steering stabilizer. replace that and it should stop

Had the exact same thing happen to me in my truck when i lifted it. Ended up being a bad tie rod end and bad upper and lower ball joints. Fixed it and it solved the problem. It was a scary ride let me tell you.

Scary!!! If you have a short arm lift, some drop brackets can make your jeep less prone to this. Just a suggestion, if the wobble should return!

Mine was just a little bit worse than that. I was afraid to drive it.... Turned out to be the 3" backspacing on the wheels was too much.
