@mamadgavkosh You can't learn history by watching cheap movies like 300 that have no historical value, in today's life with all military and transportation advancements, no army can move 1 million soldiers from one place to another, how could some one centuries ago send 1 million soldier to a place as far as Greece? what about their food and water? Spartans were worthy warriors no doubt about it but even now the same rout can be defended against an army with a machinegun, dont judge by hatred.

@mamadgavkosh There are dark times for every nation as great as Persians, surely in my nation's 3500 years there were leaders who were not suitable, there were traitors and unfit kings. why don't you mention Darius the great, Nader the great, how many times Greece was conquered by Persia? how many times Roman legioners were destroyed by Iranian army?

History is full of examples, every nation has it's defeats and victories, Russia has had it's dark times too.

Alexander does not deserve the title "Great", as greatness is not only measured in you conquers, but also in how you treat the conquered. and that is the main difference between Cyrus and Alexander. Cyrus did not conquer for revenge or burn cities to the ground, but Alexander did.
