No, it's rather our times which are lagging and stammering and stuck in the past. Almost everything from that era that was successful seems now "way beyond its time". Compare the list of most successful records (or movies for that matter) now and 40 years ago. Actually this tune makes me think of Curtis Mayfield & Isaac Hayes movie scores released in early 1970's (Superfly, Shaft), with an Ennio Morricone vibe in 2nd part.

@NintenFan0900 Back then, people had talent. Now they have samplers. (I don't even know who this "Necro" is, but guys like Michel Polnareff or Serge Gainsbourg could craft such a wonderful tune every morning while having breakfast.)

Either way, I'm going to look more deeply into Michael Polnareff because of him...
