@DoomByLurker no it will automaticlly know that it has gmod and it should be there after restaring steam

@DoomByLurker i think that TF2 dosnt work because its free to play or somthing like that.and you went inside steamapps and sourcemods,and it wasnt ther?if so reinstall steam then see.if it still doesnt work than go to steamapps and create a sourcemods folder

@DoomByLurker thats your problem.youu need a source game to run garrys mod 9.Half life 2,teamfortress 2 portal or counterstike source is needed to play.(you dont have to have all of them)and yes steamapps is the right folder

Go to options and go to the keyboard options and then click the 'advanced' button, and turn console on there. then you just push the ¬ key (also marked with `) its right below esc
