  • Brilliant speaker, she's spot on!

  • She's absolutely right. The new policy was based on trafficking figures that have repeatedly been shown to be based on pure guesswork. Laws against prostitution, whether they directly criminalise sex workers or not, invariably make them even more vulnerable. We've seen it in countries all over the world.

  • @ 0.42 get your pre-scripted metaphor straight you useless shit - bay-sick-leee.

  • The only true prostitution going on in this country is spokespeople like Brookes taking blood money from the trafficking industry to make illogical speeches defending their paymasters' rights to go out and partake in rape and torture.

  • I'm going to do what you dont want me to do: cease replying.

    Cheerio.

  • I suspect I am not the one who is not listening. I could argue that if you spent more time battling the issue instead of having a go at someone on the same side as you, this may no longer be an issue.

I guess I just come from an era when people knew how to debate with manners.

  • Who the hell does this woman think she is?

Birkbeck psychology department know more about the state of play of trafficking over real researchers in the field?

She mentions a "small percentage of trafficked women", how does she know it's small? And, even if it were, which it isn't, where's her empathy/sympathy?

Another sexually abused psychopath who resents the protection of other women.

If UK prostitution had nothing to do with trafficking the Bill would be unreasonable: thats her schtick

  • You don't see how insulting Brookes names names? Well, thats a shame..if you listened properly instead of censoring you might learn something.

  • I don't see how insulting Ms Brookes-Gordon "names names" actually. No, I am not an arbiter at all, but I think people weaken their argument when they resort to insults. Makes them sound shrewish when actually some good points were being made. Never been to a ladies coffee morning, but I am sure there are other places where good manners prevail.

  • Lol..you are the arbiter of what can be said, or the manner in which it can be said?

We're supposed to be polite, like a ladies coffee morning?

    No thanks.

If you have worked on the Russian trafficking scene, then you will be aware of how the Uk trafficking scene works..and you will also be aware that the only way it cn be rooted out is by naming names and by saying what needs to be said.
