Based on the novel by Edith Wharton, starring Liam Neeson, Patricia Arquette and a wonderfully prickly Joan Allen as Zeena. Nice job all around, though they did take some liberties with the story, and don't watch if you've had a bad day--it's quite depressing!

  • Zeena should have been kicked out of the house around when she came back from the doc, would have saved everyone :(

  • he over does that limp really annoying ruins the film -_-

  • @inthetrees3 That is how the famous American Poet Sylvia Plath died. You must be extra depressed. Lol. The book was way better, but just as depressing.

  • @cmamfgf I did read the book, actually.

  • @ladygirl217 you clearly did not read the book...

  • The crash must have been filmed by Michael Bay...

  • @ladygirl217 so karma should get you for leaving with a woman that actually makes you happy? they DIDNT deserve this.

  • @islandsylph Of Mice and Men was a lot sadder

  • LOL. This movie kinda reminds me of what my ex boyfriend did to me. He left me for another woman. They deserved this, karma comes back and bites you in the ass.

  • I'm watching this for English class <3

  • @AlenaJolie I think he's referencing Schindler's List

  • What a tragedy....

  • @chopmankins I love Jews but I don't really feel this is related. A sled couldn't be worth much.

  • How many jews could he have saved by selling the sled?

  • @omonamag Very true. They are all deeply distressing, but still great works of art. Cheers.

  • @omonamag I've read them all, They're all dismally depressing and shouldn't be read by the suicidal

    Cheers!

  • wooooooooooooooow. it would have been way better if Maddie had died.

  • I read the book for lit class and half the scenes in here are different from the real novel.

  • I read the story for my English class and loved it. Got so happy when I found this movie, even if it's sad and remembering me of Romeo and Juliet I love it. Such a sad lovestory... they were meant to be together: Ethan and Mattie!

  • i kept thinking he was gonna slip on his leg... ='(

  • ove makes you do anythingxxx

  • Why didn't someone set his godamn leg straight

  • Tja. It was an okay movie. Liam Neeson is an amazing actor, so he saved the movie, but not a must see romantic love story.

  • ok.
