Propane is only bothered by the cold if you push too much volume like a balloonist but they use heaters. We did get ice on our smaller regulators so we built bigger ones. Never had an actual freeze up. But back then our propane was a poor man's fuel injection and gas was five bucks a gallon. Now we have our standard DFX61 engine down, and it comes standard as gas or special order propane. We also have fuel injection now. FlyGreenEagle . com

Sometimes I don't get back to check these videos for a while. The newer frames are better nicer and lighter. We own our own powdercoat shop now so custom colors are common. The most popular engine config is standard gas. I believe we have the lowest cost per hour of operation than any production PPG on the market. You can fly for three hour in most cases, depends on wing and your flying habits. 2.5 hours no matter how you fly. Gasoline will fly you for 3.5 to 4 hours no problem due to you have five gallons not 4 gallons like a propane bottle. All propane units are now duel fuel and include a one gallon reserve so you will have at least three good hours of flying and another 30 minutes to think about landing. The duel fuel also helps us use all the propane in the bottle without any waste.

This is one of our old designs, building the right regulator and expansion block as Propane's ratio is 250 to 1 on vapor withdrawal. we used propane's high octane but now have EFI and offer propane is now for the super eco friendly or for people in extreme environments were gasoline is hard to store. visit flyGreenEagle . com All the new Propane units are now duel fuel. What if Propane tank gets empty in air ? hw this thing will get down at designated place ?

Propane is cool! Easy on the engine and cooler burning. Clean on the Oil and just good if you can deal with it. Only Problem is Temps... Propane does NOT like the cold.
