  • What kind of Components are installed in the front and rear and what amp are powering them? It sounds amazing!

  • @palmer307 There's actually a detailed 3 part blog about the entire system in the Crutchfield "Know Zone" Simply click the "Research Tab" at the top of the main Crutchfield website and type the title of the blog in the search window: "Laying the Foundation". HTH!--Crutchfield

  • I have a question, i have been looking to buy an alpine radio.

Now i see the CDA-117RI and the CDA-9887R.

both have an imprint module option but i have seen a movie about the usb on the 117 that si terrible. Bad loading speed etc. what i wanted to ask is wich is better in audio quality, the 117RI or the 9887R ? thanks allot . Vince

  • @snotsokken Please accept my apologies for the delayed response. The CDA-9887 model is slightly older and has been discontinued. The CDA-117 model is the most comparable replacement currently available. We have not had widespread complaints about the USB speed on the CDA-117. If your audio files are good quality (minimal compression), the internal DAC of either model will make them sound their absolute best. • Alright. Well it's going in a pretty sedate Honda Accord and it gets slightly louder at highway speeds. I feel pretty confident however I feel as if the imprint will give me the best acoustics. Now let me ask this, is it easier to have the imprint set up AFTER I install the alpine cda, kicker cvx's, infinity kappa four and Polk components OR BEFORE? Not trying to have to unplug and re wire stuff just for imprint.

  • @palmer307 Please accept my apologies for the delayed response. The information for this particular model is a little outdated as both the stereo and the compatible calibration kit have been discontinued. On the latest models, you can add an external Imprint processor and an optional tuning kit. For this option, you can add the Imprint processor but wait to use the tuning kit until all of the components are installed. Feel free to call for additional assistance: 800.315.0030--Crutchfield

Thanks for the info and no problem about the delay,

I am also not always on youtube,

    Vincent

  • @David290889 The song in this video is called “Your Steps Alone” by Sokoband. And that’s one of the two core band members that we’re watching in the video! The album is available at Sokoband.com, and it can be heard for free on Spotify. Enjoy!

  • Hey N1 Video.whats the Song called?

  • @palmer307 Please accept my apologies for the delayed response. Even without the external IMPRINT processor, the CDA-117 model offers robust equalization and digital time correction. If you feel confident in your abilities to adjust these settings yopurself, then the processor is really not necessary. If you want the system to calibrate itself based on the acoustics of your vehicle, then you should get the processor and the tuning kit. Feel free to call for asistance: 800.315.0030--Crutchfield
