These are two songs with the same theme.

1. Hindi - Man Beena Madhur Bole
2. Telugu - Madiloni Madhura Bhavam

Telugu Movie Jayasimha (1955)
under the banner R R Productions; directed by Yoganand
had in the cast - Anjali Devi, Gummadi, Rajanala, Relangi,
S V Ranga Rao, N T Rama Rao and Waheeda Rehman

Music by T V Raju

Singers: P Ghantasala & R BalaSaraswathi

Hindi Movie: Jai Singh (1959)

Remake of the Telugu version with same cast.

Lyrics: Prem Dhawan

Music: P Ramesh Naidu

Singers: Manna Dey & Lata Mangeshkar

Video of Hindi version is not available.

It was a mere coincidence that while stumbling across Sangeet Ke Sitare Group in Facebook http://www.facebook.com/groups/sangeetkesitare/ I came across Telugu version; and, one viewer mentioning about Hindi version - audio. Being fan of Waheeda Rehman,I had video of Telugu version long time ago, but did not find video of Hindi version. Having been inspired of this incident, I just thought like placing the two songs in tandem.

I assure that no commercial interest is involved.

Thank you so much for liking and beautiful comments that are testimony to the brilliance of the post. I seldom upload nowadays, but, some events as mentioned in the introduction induced; BTW this was shared with very very few friends. Did you view my channel profile page recently - if not do once casually. Regards.

  • Dear Mahale sahab, I am listening to this Hindi song for the first time.

This shows that Telugu films were leading the Hindi movies.

Telugu knowing people can still tell us if Telugu songs are still being

    copied by Hindi Music Directors.

  • @kuckudk

Thanks for nice critique. True, rapid advancement was made in Telugu and Tamil language movies in early 1950s; at this time they started Hindi movies also either original or remake. You know Suvarna Sundari - of "Kuhu Kuhu Bole Koyaliya" fame. Original was in Telugu. This discussion is without prejudice to any languages but only with a view to appreciate the good work done in the field of movies. The star NTR, you may recall later became Chief Minister of AP. Regards.
