Chapter 3
Mackenzies POV
I sighed as Mikaela and I walked away from him.
*So I was thinking-* Mikaelas voice began as I started to get lost in my thoughts.
I just looked back at Nick. He was so cute and yet with a girlfriend. I dont blame him; he probably even deserved her .I saw nothing wrong in him. He was perfect!
But still something made me think that she was not the ONE for her. Maybe someone else? But not her.. maybe not even me but someone else
However, they were cute together, I guess..What am I saying? They were Perfect!
*Hey..whats wrong? * Mikaela asked when she noticed me not paying attention to her.
I looked at her, * ohh sorry, I..umm..thought..id forgot something. A homework,* I stuttered.
*Well lets go get it!* she said as she started pulling me back to the school.
*Oh. No.* I said rather too quickly, *I got everything.*
*Sure?* she asked kinda suspicious as she looked back wondering what Id been looking at. She knew I always did my homework and would get upset if I wasnt able to bring it the next day on time.
*Im positive,* I said with a smile, *lets just go home.*
And we headed home.
20 Minutes Later.
I finally got home. School was a really far walking distance from my house but good thing I had Mikaela to walk with. She lived just a couple blocks away.
So when I got home I headed to my room. No one was home. My mom and step dad will get back at around 6. My mom just recently married him. And for my older brother, his name was Alex, he was who-knows where.
So when I got to my room I dropped my backpack on my bed, laid all my books on it and started doing my homework.
The Next Day.
I woke up extra early today. I dont know why though. It was 6:15am when I looked over at my clock as I sat on the end of my bed looking in my closet.
*What should I wear?* I asked myself. I had no clue. But I knew I wanted to look nice just in case, you know? I dont know. I know Nick had a girlfriend but does that mean the he doesnt notice people around him? Well probably not but I can always dream.
Therefore I picked my most comfortable jeans and a nice blue top. I tried it on and looked at the mirror. I felt comfortable but I dont know. Something seemed to be missing. I looked again but this time I focused on my hair. It was too plain. I got a simple clip and I put it on. Better.
I glanced over at my clock again and it was 7. Already? I grabbed my backpack with all my books and homework in and my ipod. I walked out my bedroom and headed to the kitchen.
*Morning, Mom,* I said as I walked in. She was just getting ready to leave. She was a secretary at an office where my step dad worked. He was a salesperson. Big whoop! A business person, who cares? But my dad..he was amazing. He worked in construction. Not bossing people around but doing things himself. That showed a lot, dont you think? Yet, maybe thats probably the reason of my parents break-up. They had two completely different views.
*Good Morning!* she said.
I then ate breakfast as fast as I can and soon I headed to school.
Eagerly to see Nick again.
