There's been a lot of buzz over the last few weeks about strange sounds being heard in the atmosphere. People around the world and here at home have reported hearing some bizarre noises. The latest were recorded in the Battlefords last weekend.

Ian Hamilton, North Battleford's mayor, says he can't explain it. "What I experienced was a scraping sound, like a snowplow."

Mike Halstead, a North Battleford resident, was lying in bed when his phone rang. Calls and text messages came in from his friends, each reporting strange noises. "That's when the goose bumps got me and I thought 'that's awfully strange'."

It's now days after and the city is still abuzz with talk about the sounds. Everyone has his or her own theory. But the phenomenon has stretched beyond North Battleford. Similar experiences were reported in Saskatoon, northern Saskatchewan, Costa Rica, Russia, and parts of the USA and Europe.

  • probably some government thing to put Fear into people

  • normal explanation? Show us the scientific evidence, how this sound really is created with electromagnetic waves? Why does it not happen every day? And so on. I will email this guy, really want to know what the hell...

  • natural! yeah ok!! natual sounds that we have never ever heard before..all over the world!! lmfao lie some more..dont worry about it..lol dont believe this crap..do your own research!!!

  • @jwm322 It's not a matter of being a 'nut' really. Have you heard every single sound reported? Look them up on Youtube. Radiation creates a 'static' hiss, not the various range of sound effects that are being reported. Sometimes people will 'cling' on to anything science will say because they're too afraid to open their minds to the possibilities. If science was 'always' right, we never would have made it to the moon and we would still think the Earth was flat.

  • we are all doomed....yet i lol'd at " ABOOT "

  • Armageddon is coming, the trumpets are being played.

  • I wouldn't belivle this guy if he told me it was raining.

  • @1stAmendmentChannel NO ... audible spectrum.......I cannot hear a dog whistle either, the dog can...its within its audible range. Headphones puts me in the audible range.. as I am walking through. Human audible sectrum roughly 20 Hz - 20 kHz. Below 20hz cannot hear, does not mean it is not there. HAARP is just turning it up.

  • @poohORpoe So do you hear them without the headphones?

  • @poohORpoe Yes, but we don't hear conversations of what people are saying on them as they go through us do we?.
