3/5 out of the series

Synopsis
An investigation into the differences between male and female brains, using the mysterious savants as a key area of study.

The differences between male and female brains have plagued scientists for centuries but with new brain scanning technologies, they can now examine exactly what goes on inside our heads.

Of particular interest are savants; a small but highly intelligent group of people who can multiply 5-digit numbers without a calculator, speak a dozen languages or recite 12,000 books from memory.

Six out of seven savants are male, begging the question: how big is this little difference between male and female brains? Could gender be the key to the savant's capacity for genius?

  • interesting! thank you for publishing this video...

  • @Druis2264 Just for your information my contributions to mankind include alternative drug treatment options for court appointed "addicts" to remove them from the religious cult of the twelve steps group. I don't even know why I let your childish attitude and view on the world just get to me for a second. I don't even know how you think we were arguing seeing as you never even answered my first question. It doesn't matter though, it's unimportant Internet facelessness. Bye.

  • He didn't translated Serbo-Croatian correctly.Though he did it rather quickly without even reading it.

  • @ninjatoothpaste Thought I was all clever then for a moment, suppose I was. It isn't interesting now though :(

  • Give him a poetry test and see how his brain looks, compare it with what he says he feels - get him to read and write poetry - languages are a logical system with exceptions to the rules here and there - it's a system plus a memory test. I'm not sure this is enough to turn anything upside down let alone current understanding of autism. Perhaps he understands languages differently from us, as cold systems rather than expressive and emotional - oops, reached minute 6 and it already said this :|

  • @TheSatanicView I'm sure your contribution to mankind is little to none, if anything, it's probably retroactive in producing anything worthwhile for anybody. I never claimed how difficult the profession was, just merely pointed out that your accusations are based purely on opinionated state of the art BS. And I'm sure you don't make money just by reading your pointless drivel. By-the-by I'm not arguing with you anymore kid, you have no points to make and you waste people's time. Bye.

  • @Druis2264 "Not only is your statement about psychology being easier than flipping burgers, wrong" " I never said anything about the difficulty of the psychological profession", you understand that these two statements contradict each other right? Don't assume I take money for anything please, that system is wrong. I only accept as much money for anything I do to get me by in life and in the meantime I fight to destroy this system. I work for food and shelter, not money.

  • @TheSatanicView Stay on topic Einstein, I never said anything about the difficulty of the psychological profession, and somebody that discusses topics the way you do can't possible be any type of psychologist worthy of calling a guidance counselor, let alone an accredited psychologist. A career is what you make it, if you're an idiot well I can't help you, but your shallow look into the mind is abhorrent and the only crime you're solving is the one where you take money for your shitty advice.

  • @Druis2264 Yeah I understand why you THINK it's hard but it's a matter of experience that I know it's quite easy. The only people it would even be difficult for are people with mental problems that affect their social understanding and empathy plays little in psychology. And yes my opinion is biased from EXPERIENCE. Just sayin', the human mind as a thinking entity is very simple to understand. I have solved crime by analyzing the mid girly

  • @TheSatanicView I bet you're pretty good with a spatula yourself buddy. Your argument shouldn't even be dignified with a response just because of its lack of all things that would make it a valid point. Not only is your statement about psychology being easier than flipping burgers, wrong, but it's purely opinionated and biased. Women having a better advantage with psychology rests solely on basis that thinking with an emotional causes one to be more empathetic and understanding. Obviously.

  • @Druis2264 Ok, I would just like to point out here that psychology is like the easiest profession in the entire world, easier than flipping burgers. If you are insinuating that females know what others are actually thinking than explain this all to common behavior. Many women have many male friends, most men don't care about female friendship and just want sex. Are the women in fact ignorant of this(making them bad psychologists) or are most of them just that slutty?
