HTC Magic demo with new HTC keyboard

This is a quick review of my new white HTC Magic with the new HTC keyboard. Here I show how the new HTC keyboard works, and also give a quick tour of the Android platform from a user perspective.
This phone came with Taiwan/Chungwha branding originally, but has now successfully been restored to original HTC Magic rom and I've put the new HTC keyboard on it as it's far better than the default Android one.
This HTC Magic has 288MB ram, unlike the vodafone branded white ones that are offered in Australia.

All the HTC Magic's out of Hong Kong have 288MB apparently, even the vodafone ones.

Mine is a Taiwan-sourced HTC Magic with 288MB ram.

In Australia vodafone sell the crippled 192MB ram version, while Three mobile sell the 288MB ones.

how come the keys are bigger, and not like cupcake?? this a updates over 1.5?

This is the new HTC keyboard that comes standard with the HERO roms. It's also possible to install it on top of cupcake too.

The keys are a little bigger, and have secondary actions - so it's easier to get to numbers and punctuation without switching keyboard states.

well out of the two, id say the magic (aka MyTouch 3G), but out of ALL phones, i think the Cliq is superior.. runs the same OS as the magic, but with an added Motorola twist..

u should get betterkeyboard and go to the market n get the iphone skin...its way better n it lets u use the language dictionary....way better than the htc keyboard...
