Nick Drake - Things Behind The Sun - cover - better version!

had a few quiet moments to get down a version of this one without being jumped on by my kids...

i first heard nick drake's 'river man' back around 1997 in the movie 'dream with the fishes' - i remember turning to my wife and saying 'i dunno who this is, but i am so gonna find out and buy their album!'.... didn't take me long to own all his stuff and get hooked on it! anyway, i still listen to nicks albums quite often. 'things behind the sun' is definitely one of my faves!

Nice vocal stylings, mate. Nick sings this one very bland and flat but that's because he had THAT VOICE to rely on. Lovely interpretation. This is the first Nick Drake song that gripped me by the short and curlies so good job!

yeah i always wanted nick to open up and sing a big rock note but he never does - his biggest note is probably the ooooooh in 'ooooooh how they come and go' in river man.
