Mr. fireman Guy even though im not an amputee i hope that you will get a C-Leg soon so you can go up those stairs easier so that way you wont have to worry about falling.
Hey my name is Doug, I am facing a LATK due to a lack of improvement after a mx crash. I am a FF/EMT and plan on continuing my career in the future. It's very sureal to think about, but we are Firefighters, it is in our blood to overcome obstacles---stay strong and feel free to contact me anytime to chat! God Bless You!
Hey George, Im Jared. I have been on my volunteer fire dept for a little over three years now and I lost my left leg above the knee in August of 07. I actually have two legs, one for formal use and one for firefighting. I have a quick disconnect at the knee and I keep my fire leg in my boot. I just have a regular hydraulic for firefighting. Dont get down on yourself, as long as you have will you'll get back on. If you have any questions feel free to message me. Stay safe, Jared
Hello, My name is George and recently became a above knee amputee. I have been a firefighter/paramedic for the past 20 sum years and now am struggling with trying to do it still again. I noticed it looks as if you also have aka on the left side. What kind of knee do you use that works well with firefighting and can get wet?? also what kind of foot? Did you custom make your gear? If you can give me any kind of help i would be very greatfull. I am trying not to let this keep me down, thanks Geo.
