Actually, The Residents, Gwar, Earth Wind and Fire, the Funky Meters, Bread, The Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, Pink Floyd, Slayer, the Grateful Dead, Green Jello, and Slipnot are all the same band.

You're right. Kinda. Essentially yes, they are just a bunch of random avantgarde musicians, however they don't use their anonymous image to help get attention, they simply use it because they believe that music should be about the music, not about the performer. It shouldn't matter if they're male, female, black, white, young, old or anything, hence why they keep their images hidden.
