Even a 5 year old can answer that well... I wonder what did the organisers see in her to make her participate in a national pageant?

I think she was just soooooo nervous. But in the end, her answer was good, very good. In fact I like her answer. I think her point was that you can learn to be smart anyway but to be beautiful, you have to born beautiful. So if you're born beautiful, you can be both beautiful and smart eventually. I'm sure the cosmetic surgeons, including the fake ones, will not like her answer though.

She was just really nervous kaya 'di sya nakasagot and yung audience kasi masyadong mayayabang, mga feeling smart. Sige nga, sila kaya yung isalang sa stage.

Why can't they just speak tagalog to avoid such humiliation coz not every filipino is fluent in english. When they compete internationally they can use an interpreter. Not knowing english doesn't make you less intelligent. They can express themselves more using their native tongue. But then again, that's just my opinion and I'm sure some of guyz will say otherwise.
