The 6K is both mk2(96-99) & mk3(99-02).

6L is mk4 (02-08)

6J is mk5 (08-Onwards)

That was my brother driving against the Golf, not sure what time he got but the best i've had so far is 13.721@105.1mph two years ago. Heading down to crail on the 4th of Oct i think so hoping to better it by a wee bit.

@Cuprabaz The 6L you mentioned is a new model (02-08). The 6K is from 1993 to 2002, and there was three face-lifts on this Ibiza (Mk2), in 1996 were he received new equipment and motors (GT per example), on 1998/99 he received new face-lift, dashboard, bumpers, new motors (Like Cupra), headlights and rims, a "new Ibiza" but it was only a 6k face-lifted, nothing else, you can call it "Ibiza 6K 2nd", why a new Ibiza for only three years of market? That make no sense...

I have a golf GTI. It's a 1.8T But I must be honest. In a straight line is the Ibiza most likly quicker (in a straight lin) with the same engine :)
