  • is it stock?

  • Yes - bought it used a couple years agon and just painted it up. It may be running a few RPMs higher than normal, but I don't know of anything else that has been done to it.

  • nice pull but aint an 856 kinda small for 11000 pounds small

  • Hey, that's why they invented weights and brackets isn't it!!!!!!!!! LOL-LOL

  • I have a cabbed version of the IH 856, my third favorite of our IH's at the farm my 4166 is my #1, and my 660 is #2. But i think my Moline G6 would out pull them all, except the 4166 of course.

  • The 856 is one of the best tractors ever made IMHO. A near perfect combination of engine, weight and transmission for its hp for any time.

  • That was an awesome pull. Impressed

  • The 856 is a awsome tractor we picked one up last all and I used it to cut and bale hay this year and wow what a torque monster well ai gusee 507 cid will help that out, Our 886 cant touch the 856 for torque

  • The 11,000 is not to heavy for the 856.Its just right.

  • @87ford460 i ran my uncles 856 this past year and this year in 12500, i beat a lot of 1066's and other bigger tractors, its so heavy cause of fluid in the tires

  • WOW!! TONS of torque!!!!!!!

  • We had a 656 when i was a kid - thing was a beast!

  • I bought an 856 in 1994. there isnt much that slows that tractor down even with 12,000 hrs on it

  • Weve had an 856 for 12 years now, best tractor on our farm.
