Awesome idea.. I would also use spray adhesive for stencils to put more than one layer together..

That is really clever! Those companies would go out of business with people like you! :)

You are so clever. I used mine to emboss on tin metal squares, came out gorgeous. Thank you for sharing that great idea.

Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and pick up plumber's gasket. It is a small squared rubber mat that costs about 35 cents and works great as the rubber mat you need. I bought it to use with the textured plates by fiskars for my cuttlebug.
Why not use cardboard of thickness such as that of a cereal box ? Then one would not have to tape 3 stencils together.....

@justtubingby You could- and it would be ideal- But, not everyone has the Deep Cut Blade. This makes it possible for anyone with a Cricut.

Soooo...I have a cuttlebug, therefor no rubber mat. What plates do I use? Just the norm? This is SO exciting for me with getting ready to do my Christmas cards! :)

@TheJennabelle You can pick up a rubber mat at your crafting store. Spellbinders has one, Sizzix has one...or you could use a thin mouse pad,etc/
