A new shipping container building is going up in Santa Fe. Part of the Railyard development, the building's on Flagman Way near Cerrillos Road off Baca Street . Furring channels along the exterior lead me to believe this building will receive some kind of cladding, unlike predecessors by architects like LOTEK and Wes Jones. Signs at the site indicate the building is a home for Molecule Design. Design points of note include an atrium between two three-story rows of stacked containers and, on the east side, a fold, returning to open a small courtyard. Can't wait to see the completed building.

it looks like they plan to panel over the plumbing and conduits. I plan to build a conex house, but in area that has WATER. Also, I'll be bolting the lower containers down to concrete piles. I want to survive high winds, etc. Of course it won't be so big, minimum of 4 40' units, lower to be high cube. It will have one unit that is livable if power shortage. A/c to be so that I only heat/cool spaces in use. 24v aux. lighting using solar and batts, off grid as much as poss.

cool, but might I ad some constructive critisism? instead of the cool song explain to us what is with the pipes everywhere, forget close-up ceiling shots??? and explain what the vision is. some of us really think container building is smart , this clip was not . sorry but... still I dig the structur and what you are creating! keep going, seems like it will be awesome! can't wait to get mine going...
