Assalamu 'Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh, brilliant Islamic lecture && short Q & A on Tawbah titled "Purification of the Soul" by an excellent speaker Jalal ibn Sa'eed, may Allah preserve him. Will make you feel Remorseful - Great Speech!!
Presented by IslamBradford http://IslamBradford.com

"And whoever does evil or wrongs himself but afterwards seeks Allah's forgiveness, he will find Allah Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.'' [Qur'an 4:110]

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu 'alaihi wasallam) said, "By the One in Whose Hand my soul is! If you do not commit sins, Allah would replace you with a people who would commit sins and seek forgiveness from Allah; and Allah will certainly forgive them.'' [Sahih Muslim]

This Hadith does not mean that Allah likes disobedience. But by this way of description, the aim is to emphasize the importance of seeking forgiveness from Allah. We know that every man commits sins. But Allah likes those people who, after committing a sin, do not stick to it, but right away seek forgiveness for their sins from Allah. They weep && express sorrow before Allah. By seeking forgiveness, a relationship with Allah is established between man && his Creator. So seeking forgiveness is a very good act.

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu 'alaihi wasallam) saying, "Allah, the Exalted, has said: `O son of Adam! I shall go on forgiving you so long as you pray to Me and aspire for My forgiveness whatever may be your sins. O son of Adam! I do not care even if your sins should pile up to the sky and should you beg pardon of Me, I would forgive you. O son of Adam! If you come to Me with an earthful of sins and meet Me, not associating anything with Me in worship, I will certainly grant you as much pardon as will fill the earth.'''
[At-Tirmidhi].

May Allah forgive us our sins && make us of those who repent to Him. 'Ameen!

  • why is there a babys voice during the lecture ? its there for quite a while im half way through the lecture

  • @mustafagulraiz: Cuz , maybe a baby might have been present with a parent? And for a change, the male carer i.e. father may have decided to take care of him/her rather than handing the baby over to his/her mother, hence you could hear his/her voice.

  • wallahi good speech .. but he scares the listeners with his screaming you should enjoy a khutba not fear from it

  • @allah786ization: Where does he scream? && If you assume there was screaming then how did it qualify as a "good speech" in your terms? Maybe his words are full of impact && expression causing one to really reflect on their life && turn in repentance to their Lord. Maybe that was his goal i.e. to cause a person to deeply contemplate && recognise their own mistakes && seek forgiveness with sincerity insha'Allah.

Salamu 'Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.

  • @Wellington5392: Also, covering up is a means to display modesty, remain protected && not to be molested. A female is more worthy & precious to be seen by all, hence her beauty is reserved & kept hidden for the ideal one who only deserves it i.e. her husband.

Think about it, would you approve of your mother, sister, wife && daughter to be lusted upon with the fear of being sexually harrassed?

Being a female, I love being covered up & heat doesn't make a difference when the reward is far greater!

  • @Wellington5392: Yeah, I forgot to reply to the claim re: Men && Abuse.

Firstly, I'd like to point out that there's a huge difference between the teachings of Islam && the actions of its followers. For you to understand how a Muslim man should truly behave with his wife as a husband, you need to look towards the Qur'an && the life of the Prophet Muhammad (sal Allahu 'alaihi wasallam).

Please check out the many lectures I've uploaded on the topic of marriage, you'll detect the difference .

  • Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but did he actually classify "magic tricks" as kufr because it distracts us from worship??? By this logic, nearly everything we do is kufr, including watch TV, listen to music, play games, etc. It's this logic that drives people, particularly kids, away from Islam. There are magicians who make an honest living entertaining people. There's nothing wrong with it. Please, let's leave the fatwat for the scholars. I couldn't listen to anymore after I heard that.

  • @allah786ization If they shout in a khutba it's usually to wake other's up and for strong emphasis.
