rep jackie speier: fierce. and her comments on halliburton are spot on. not her comments on all that halliburton has done, but on how no one is trying to legislate them out of existence. women's bodies are WOMEN'S bodies. male legislators need to get that through their heads and stop trying to legislate women's bodies into submission because "ew, vaginas have coooties" or whatever bs "logic" they're operating with.

I was watching the proceedings live that night, and can tell you that Jackie Speier's behavior was outrageous and immature. She embarrassed herself to defend Planned Parenthood, a fraud and abortuairium! People don't want their money going to fund that horror, no matter how many *procedures* she's had!!

No one needs to her about her *procedures*, TMI !! Where's the decorum?

You've obviously never seen her speak about this in person. You can see the grief losing this WANTED child causes her. She actually had been trying to get pregnant. Do your research, you vapid soul.

Keep in mind she had been working since 9 that morning, and it was 11 pm at this point. Having hear the story personally from her, she makes a point. If you knew the direction this speech had taken, you would know that this was the response needed. If you disagree, fine. But never doubt that personal experience plays a key role in the democratic process. This is one of the few elected officials that gets anything done.
