what game is this?
-
@jockamofeena You're implying this game can't help develop music skills, when clearly it can. Also, the price was only one factor as to why some people can't have real drum sets.
-
@daysleeper318 sorry, I disagree. You can get a used beginner drum kit for less than a Xbox. And hitting pads at the same time something on a screen lights up is not a useful skill, imo it's a waste of time. Developing music skills benefits you for life.

@jockamofeena Not everyone can afford a real drum set, nor can they always fit it into their homes, nor do their homes always accommodate the amount of noise a real drum set makes. Rock Band does a cheap and effective job of teaching beginner drummers proper rudiments, technique and coordination. Not to mention, it's only a game; playing real drums and playing plastic drums are not mutually exclusive. I know many people on YouTube who do both.

I do a search for "bye bye love the cars" and this is the first shown result? Anyway, since I'm here...
I have never actually seen one of these games.. but I am a gigging musician, so hear me out- I totally reccomend buying real drums!! Visit your local music store kids! And for the record, the singer on this song was the bass player, Benjaminn Orr, so ..pretty inaccurate. I know I sound like an old man, but kids, you should spend your time playing REAL instruments.

first??
Well I wouldn't say I am implying, I am stating it. Saying you can develop musical skills from playing this game is like saying you can play piano because you can type on a keyboard.

@jockamofeena Well I played on this game for a little over a year before I bought a real kit actually. I've been playing for 2 years now, in a band that plays shows routinely. This game (for me personally) is the reason for that and the reason for some of the coordination and hand skills on my actual kit.
