On a roo reserve, i see this all the time, but YESTERDAY, i was privelaged to see 2 of our goanna's mating !
It kinda looks the same really as what roos do, except thepush each other over and pin the other down until the magic happens...
Took 90 minutes, and they look like they are wrestling and fightinig but the difference is that they do not bite each other. When Goey's fight, they love biting but this was very romantic.. for a goanna..

Plenty Goannas around here, but I've never caught a pair in flagre delecto. One drops by to raid my compost heap from time to time and incurrs the ire of the nesting currawongs.
