The Volunteers: Answering the Call of History

Toldot Yisrael (http://www.toldotyisrael.org) presents the stories of volunteers from around the world who came in 1948 to help build and defend the State of Israel.

This movie is the third episode in the "Eyewitness 1948" short film series produced by Toldot Yisrael and the History Channel. It is the centerpiece of an educational pilot program developed with The iCenter and made possible through the generous support of the Jim Joseph Foundation and others.

I see this wonderful film and I cry.

We, the youth of today's Israel, have a responsibility: not to squander the gift of these heroes to us. We must show to our enemies, that our spirit is stronger than ever. They have to understand, that this is now a reality that will last forever and they do not expect to change it: Israel never well be destroyed!

Great. I recently visited Israel with my wife. We had great guides. In Telaviv we learned about the start of Israel. This video adds to that learning like being able to pick out Jaffa, Telaviv and the Port of Haifa. Congratulations.

Those who will not defend Yisrael or Yerushalayim are those not interested in what the good and wise plan of Elohim is. But Yahuah will defend Yisrael and Yerushalayim shall not be obliterated, yet the enemies against Messiah shall the birds feast upon as Yahusha returns to earth to set up His Kingdom in Yisrael. This is a moving and precious tribute to the brave people who were there at the beginning!!!! I would like to think that had I been old enough, I would have been among them. Am Yisroel Chai! Is there any doubt that Israel must continue as a Jewish State? I don't think so. Thank you for this beautiful video.
