Translation ~

Host: Welcome Jonas

Jonas: Thanks

Host: ..The front singer in the Danish band Mew. And you've been sitting here, making a small figure in plasticine

Jonas: It is a farmer in an impressionistic style, in fact I think it is how I see myself. I see myself that way, with all the red

Host: As a farmer?

Jonas: Yes, an impressionistic farmer

Host: Why an impressionistic farmer?

Jonas: Well I do not know either, I just followed my first impression, I think

Host: If you weren't a musician, would you like to have worked with figures like that?

Jonas: Yes, I would like to have something to do with film, I think. Certainly things like animation. Some of the first animations I made, was something like this. I do not know if I would use it today, but I think it's very fun to play with it again

Host: How can it be? That you would have done that instead?

Jonas: I do not know, I've always been fascinated by animation, I do not know why. As soon as it is drawn or made otherwise than with real people, I think there is something more fascinating about it. It's like giving dead things life, I think it is fascinating. I do not really know why

Host: On stage, there are some films with animals and things like that in the background, let's just try to watch some clips from that

***
Host: I would just say that what we just saw, was a combined clip, from a lot of different things

Jonas: Yes it is some of the clips we use when we play live. We decided to use them because I had worked a lot with things like that and we thought it was a very good idea to use for our concerts. It creates a dream world together with the music. It highlights the various emotions, stories and things like that in the songs. But it is also to give people something a little different, than just a rock band standing and playing live, so we thought it was very fun to try out

Host: But why is it not enough with a rock band just playing live?

Jonas: That is also enough, I just like that there is a little extra in it. There are many bands that have gradually begun to use the film-thing. This makes it a little more exciting, you get sucked in, in a different way

Host: What would like to tell with the clips in the background?

Jonas: It's hard to say. It's not so thoughtful, we just make what falls into us. It's just about touching people's senses when they walk in to see us play. And I like the feelings our pictures awakes, at least in me, it's not certain they wakes the same feelings in other people. But I hope

Host: What kind of emotions is that?

Jonas: I can't really describe it.

Host: Is it a happiness or?

Jonas: It is all kinds of things, happiness or melancholy. I don't know, there is a lot of fantasy in it

Host: When you play live, you sing a duet with Stina Nordenstam and you also have some pictures to play with her in the background when she sings with you

Jonas: Yes, she sings from the screen in the background. We have two kinds of those duets

Host: Let's just take a look of a little clip of her

***
Host: That was Stina Nordenstam

Jonas: Yes, I would just say that it was a remix, not a good one, but it was nice to see her again. She is a lot more beautiful than that

Host: She is kinda like a fairy

Jonas: Yes, she is very beautiful

Host: Is that why you like her

Jonas: Because she is beautiful? I think her voice is amazing, and that's what I like about her music. I think she is a sweet person, I like everything about her

Host: To return to the animation, it was something you absolutely loved to do, even when you went to school and there you also made a little movie

Jonas: Yes, I made lots of it in my spear time

~ I was not able to recover the last part of the interview, sorry :( But I hope you Frengers liked it anyways :)

  • English was here.

    Danish is a f*ggot.

    (not being serious)

  • Danish and norwegian sounds so much better than english, those languages are so much better, so pure so beautiful!

  • @Krugezoid To us Danes, Norwegian sounds just like your friend describes danish sounds to him ;D... But some words are much alike!

  • @s8a2b Sounds like fun :) I have absolutely no idea what that last part was lol. I'd love to learn this language, though. Apparently it's almost like Norwegian. I know a foreign exchange student from Norway (I live in South Africa) and she says that Danish sounds to them like they're speaking with food in their mouth.

  • I want!

  • @Krugezoid Yes it does! I am taking lessons and it starts out fun and cute then it gets all serious bc they tal so fast! And it all sounds of jibberish. I am trying really hard though. Jeg kan ikke vente med at tage til Danmark, om end.
