If you believe bloggers, journalists and music enthusiasts all around the world, Team Me from Norway is one of the hottest newcomers of 2011. The accidental success of Team Me came about when Marius Hagen started his own side project, while playing with two other bands, Jaqueline and SiN, the name Team Me reflecting himself as the only member of the band. But when the music he submitted ended up in a Norwegian national radio-battle for new and unsigned bands, Marius quickly had to get a band together and Team Me made their live debut in January 2010 at the finals of the contest, to great acclaim. From then on, Marius' little secret was not so easy to hide, and the world seems to be falling in love with this six-piece indie band and their richly orchestrated music and unique live shows.

Surprised by the attention, the band started doing live shows and recorded the Team Me EP, which was released in the spring of 2011 by Propeller Recordings. The EP received great reviews, and peaked at # 92 on the American CMJ top 200, with a base of solid airplay on different American radio stations, as well as Norwegian and European radio.

Throughout 2011, Team Me has been playing numerous concerts and performed at events such as The Great Escape in Brighton, Club NME in London, Reeperbahn festival in Hamburg, Øyafestivalen in Oslo, Iceland Airwaves, Berlin Independent Nights and many others. The band has also supported The Wombats on their many tours of Europe, the UK and Scandinavia, building a solid fan base at an early stage of their career.

Team Me recorded their debut album, "To The Treetops!" in Oslo in May 2011. The album was produced by Marius Hagen/Team Me and mixed by Mike Hartung at Propeller Music Division. Numerous layers of sounds and instruments were recorded in a hectic five-week period, resulting in the 10 songs on "To The Treetops!"

"To The Treetops!" had a Norwegian release in October to an overwhelming positive response in Norwegian media, many declaring this to be one of the best debut albums ever made by a Norwegian band.
"To The Treetops!" will have its international release in March 2012, followed by Team Me's first headline tour of Europe, and their first visit to the US. Team Me is confirmed to perform at Eurosonic and SXSW in 2012.

"Expect big things from Oslo's Team Me" NME

"This fabulous sextet from Norway make Magic Numbers-like magic" Sunday Times

"Much admired six-piece from Norway who are beginning to attract a lot of attention - and rightly so - for their complex, majestic pop." "Q Magazine

"It is entirely possible that Team Me, has released this year's best Norwegian pop album" NRK Lydverket

"Simply the best Norwegian rock album of the year!" Aftenposten

  • @gaygadeth that's exactly what I thought

  • they are all on mushrooms.

  • Dissapointing music video. The strong energy in the song does not correspond with the weak energy in the film. It sucks because the production design and cinematography is pretty good. It's just boring to watch after the first minute.

  • @Comok so alike.

  • @Comok I thought that. I heard a bit on Dermot's show this afternoon.

  • Can't understand why this hasn't got more views, it's fantastic. I think that there can only be big things in Team Me's future!
