  • I saw that movie... it was pretty good... but it really criticizes Cajun people.. the the way they talk and sound uneducated and stuff.. but its a good show

  • It is a fictional movie, with a realistic depiction of isolated groups of rural Cajuns. There is no way the film, given its focus, could be represenative of all types of Cajuns.

  • This is an amazing movie- one of two favourites I have: the other is 'What's Eating Gilbert Grape." Brilliant acting, moving storylines. You hardly breathe as you become engaged.

  • Ascension Parish.

  • Nothing like us...not even close.

  • @redfeettube i was extremely disappointed seeing that im a cajun.

  • Its was a good movie. Lots of twists. I didn't pay attention to how the people of the bayou were portrayed...I paid attention to the story.

  • They R very educated they live, work hard, celebrate life & respect it very much & anytime is a good time 2 throw a party & who is 2 judge if someone is educated or not. A lot of people couldn't survive on the Bayou!

  • Oh Brother it's a movie!!! , it was great!! Rent it or buy it. You wont be dissapointed. Hug A Cajun.. : )

  • @MrZackattack52 what parish?

  • i dont understand why everyone thinks people from louisiana are just a bunch of rednecks with thick accents. its kind of insulting. Im from lake charles and pretty much everyone there is super brilliant, and no one here i know sounds like any of those actors!

  • WHY ARE BACKWOODS PEOPLE CONSTUNTLY BEING PORTRAYED AS PSYCHOS OR RETARDED BY HOLLYWOOD? No wonder so many in mainstream America fear us!

    Water Boy

    Deliverance

    Little Chenier
