On Sunday the 16th of November 2008 we were terrifyingly interrupted in the middle of a church service by a "tornado" ripping through our Church. We had only just moved away from the window when a tree came crashing through it sending Frisbee sized glass flying through the air and even embedding into the carpet.
It was terrifying because we didnt know where to hide; trees were falling on the Church roof at the front and back. It was raining in the Church and paper was swirling around the Church and getting pasted to the walls. Amazingly, no one was hurt.
Experts described this storm as the worst that Queensland had seen in 25 years. Countless people lost their homes, and hundreds of thousands of houses lost power for days.
This video documents the incredible week in the life of our church over the week right after the storm hit. It's a record of the unforgettable week that changed our lives; it's a big thank you to everyone who helped us pick up the pieces and put them back together; but most of all, it's a testimony of Gods unending grace in the midst of a storm.

I was there and the photos almost do it justice... Just add massive surround sound with breaking glass and galeforce wind and noise so loud you couldn't hear the person next to you!
