Preview of the Autumn Grand Sumo Tournament in Tokyo - Sept 2009

I've moved from rural Japan back to San Diego, California.

But I was able to subscribe to a cable TV channel called TV Japan that shows the live Sumo feed from Japan's NHK.

@chesterbesterfeild fair enough. There are plenty of places to get simple match coverage. I offer commentary and my enthusiasm for the sport - most of my subscribers like that and that's why they watch. If you don't like it, I respect that and you can watch somewhere else. Peace.

I am a huge fan of Sumo since 1997 when a first Mongolian wrestler Kyukushuzan entered top division.

I am also a big fan of Takamisakari. I would like to see some of his matches. Like Tiramisu said. He's not a fantastic fighter, but he definitely puts his all into it and is definitely fun to watch. Would appreciate some of his matches. =)

I'm also a huge fan of Takamisakari.

As we Japanese say "kyara ga ii", meaning "he's got character." The man's got heart. Sure, he's not what you might consider a top-notch wrestler. And as a matter of fact, he loses quite often, but he's never a sore loser. He gives his all every match. The way he psyches himself up seconds before the match is a thing of a beauty (although, quite comical)!! He has won over a lot of people's hearts by simply being the "majime" rikishi that he is...

The big TV seems more proportional for the subject matter than your old JET TV. Good to see the vids.
