good point, but you just said it first - it isn't that simple, so they aren't only dirty, racist, and conniving beasts. as it turns out, America's standard of living and consumerism is founded upon incredibly low wages and standards of living in other countries. Immigration of cheap labor is the grotesque reality of our international labor exploitation knocking on our front door. immigration to developed countries is entangled with other very serious questions of international equity.
