ELMWOOD-Patricia M. Foley, 60, of Elmwood, IL, died suddenly at 11:02 am Thursday, August 18, 2011, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center emergency room in Peoria, IL. Born on May 10, 1951 in Peoria to Joseph Anthony Sr. and Velda Janet Klaassen Grieser, she married Richard T. Foley on May 31, 1968 in Creve Coeur. He survives. Also surviving are 2 sons, Richard Joseph (Nicole) Foley and David A. (Judy) Nabhan, both of Washington; 2 daughters, Anna Nabhan of Peoria and Lisa (Charles) Gale of East Peoria; 5 brothers, Joseph (Marie) Grieser Jr., of Washington, Frank Grieser of Peoria Heights, Charles (Nancy) Grieser of Sequim, WA, Robert (Karen) Grieser of Pekin, Gregory (Oralee) Grieser of DeWitt, MI; 1 sister, Janet Sue (Steve) Nelson of Greenville, TN and 9 grandchildren , Miranda, Megan, and Hannah Foley, Elizabeth, Nora, and Sophia Nabhan, Samson, Lillian, and Oliver Gale. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 daughter, Shannon René Foley. Patricia graduated a military wife from East Peoria Community High School in 1969. She was a homemaker, worked as a regional manager for GNC for 10 years, volunteered as a Lakeview Museum picture person in District 76 (Creve Coeur) for 4 years, and also volunteered as a Cub Scout and Girl Scout leader. She worked as a house cleaner and volunteered at St. Mary's Cathedral in Peoria as a laundry lady from 1995-2004. In 2005, Patricia started her own international internet business in Elmwood, called CatholicLinen.com. She prided herself in her work and worked up until the last moments, finishing her last 2 orders the morning that she passed away. She also loved gardening, raising chickens, and spending time with her grandchildren. .
