Experience the exciting launch of Neri Oxman's Gemini acoustic chaise at Le Laboratoire in Paris -- Vocal Vibrations.

In the video, Neri Oxman Architect, Designer and Professor of Media, Arts and Science at MIT, explains her vision and surprising inspiration for the piece which was created in collaboration with Professor W. Craig Carter, Department of Materials Science and Engineering of MIT,. The sound absorbing inner lining was produced on the Objet500 Connex3 Color Multi-material 3D Printer from Stratasys.

Combing both subtractive and additive manufacturing techniques, Gemini is changing notions of just how far 3D printing can go.
