McGill University was founded in 1821 by James McGill, a prominent Montreal merchant.
It was once all farm land and forest, and now it is a popular University to thousands of students a day, this is a story about the trees that have out lived so many of us and the fine students of McGill University, this is a video about the end of a special tree that has come to its end, on the McGill property.

I had the opportunity to visit McGill when this three was cut. I took a small piece for memories. Ph.D. 1997 - 2001.
