@sm3xy66 Thank you, I really hate to hear young people getting RA. I was diagnosed when I was 56 and consider myself very fortunate to have lived a long very active life without it. It hit rather hard and sudden, but then that sort of thing does go along with getting old. So I don't complain about having RA, at my age there's a lot worse that can happen. I wish you the very best and hope you can still enjoy most of your youth. Just remember, fight it every inch of the way.

@tdfisk I too have RA. I found out a year ago when I was 18. I completely agree with you. Well said :)

I've come to understand that those we love are incapable of comprehending, I can barely comprehend it myself. But we should always keep in mind that our loved one have a life to live and they have a right to it. The pain and agony of RA can make us unknowingly very self centered and that can make life miserable for our loved ones. It's bad enough we suffer, we shouldn't make others suffer with us. Sometimes we have to hide our pain or play it down, it's an honorable sacrifice.

powerful and so true
Thanks, Kat, for sharing your experience with others. I hope this helps others begin to understand how painful & isolating RA is. Maybe your video will at least help someone realize that they might not understand!
