  • Xanterra banned steam operation because it was polluting the enivronment.

  • Though i hate it, it is an intresting operation, F40PH-2 FB1 Pair up, Never seen a 50's alco and a 80's EMD run together

  • right, passenger service....but this railroad has always been steam powered...it takes away the elegance....as much as I love the F40....it can''t compete with a vintage steam locomotive

  • Technically, the F40 is doing the job is was built to perform..

  • great video.....I'm sorry but I just can't watch an F40 do the job of a steamer...its wrong Xanterra took the steamers out of operation

  • You can say that again, thats all the Grand Canyon is, a big whole! Man I went on a western trip with my family when I was 13, we stopped in Flagstaff,AZ for the night and stayed at the Travel Inn with the BNSF main in the distance. Talk about cool as hell! If I knew what I knew now we would have never left to see the GRAND PIT! Just film more BNSF action! I have the tape somewhere!
