Jumping lesson with Roman - July 21

We had a group lesson today, but it was with Roman, Yankee & Cadbee so I had to much film for one video, Yankee & Cadbee's video will be up soon :)

Roman and I broke our hight record by jumping 3 ft! woohoo! We started out small but got higher. The gate is 3ft and the barrels are between 2'9 & 3' ...horray!!!! Equitation is bad, working on that :/. The refusal was my fault (like always) and Roman was a good sport about it. Just to tell you... a horses neck vs. a persons jaw = hurt jaw. But its ok, in two days it will be fine :)

you should start raising the pole a little!! start doing courses at like 2'9'

@SugarAndSpiceLover Yes! I would love to do that! But Roman has slight arthritis, so it is ok to occasionally jump him 3' and higher, but we don’t want to push our luck with his joints. The small stuff doesn't bother me; we are planning on showing him 2'6 next year, so that will be a great change. :) But every once in a while we'll throw in 2'9 to 3'3 jumps during lessons.

You have an excellent two point position! You work well together... there were a few rocky jumps but when you are going with your horses rythem you look great!

yes, thankyou, The the bit usually requires two reins or a attached rein. It helps you have more control :)
