  • This reminds me of the Sandboxie program when I was on Windoze. Is Zero Install a virtual environment?

I have a version of VLC on Ubuntu 10.04, I am unable to upgrade it (VLC). Could I have a 2nd VLC on Ubuntu with Zero Install?

  • @Laoch111 It's not a virtual environment, although it could be combined with one. In theory you could use it to get a second (newer) version of VLC, but the current VLC feed only seems to provide Windows versions at the moment.
