I REALLY appreciate the advice on the Century Diamond Heads! I'm ordering it today. I see where Century lists 550mm blades, but think I'm going to go with Funkey 600mm, any suggestions? Think yours are 600mm too? I'd like to have a clutch, but already have the T-Rex 600 mechanics and I'll just put the ESC into slow start mode. Not the same, but close. Oh yea, I did see your other flight video. Very inspiring!

Hi,
Sorry the delay...to busy !.
the gear ratio is the original from the scale mechanics by Century ( Hawk 30/50), just change the Nitro engine for the Brusless motor, there is a video in my channel in which can see all the mod.

GREAT video and beautiful heli. I've put one in the air (two blade stock T-Rex 600, 6S), but want to get my red AS350 into the air with three blade. Good to see that you can run the three blade head on a 6S setup (vs 8S or 10S). I may go with a 10S setup on my red AS350 and then convert the two blade (blue) version to a three blade, but leave it at 6S. Worry about heat/amps however.

@flynlyons
hi,
You can run with 6S without problems at all, Just need to use the correct motor and ESC.
I strongly recommend the Castle HV 80 ( no need for more Amps) and an 1100 KV's motor with 11 teeth pinion or 1220 KV's with 10 teeth pinion....with this you can run low HS, better stability and control.
As well avoid buy cheaper rotorheads, believe me, are not the same...I recommend this Century head, I mounted lot of helis, even making my own heads, the Century Diamond Head is awesome !

@krumrick2 Thanks! I'm thinking about the Century 800KV motor (my T-Rex 600 is 170/pinion) so with a 6S setup I should get around 1350 rpm with 16T pinion or 1430 rpm with 17T. I was thinking of the Funkey 3 blade setup Century sells and looking at the Sky-3-600 head from Skyhunter Hobby. But you say go with the Century head? I'd need a 12 to 10mm adapter, but guess there's worse things. The 30-50 3 Blade Diamond is the one I should go with then or do you recommend one in particular?

@flynlyons
The Century 800KVs is a good option, and with the 16T pinion seems perfect with 1350/1400 rpm's.
I do not tested yet the Funkey blades, but I will soon.
The Century head can be used in 10mm and 12 mm (already come with an adapter), there is three options:
Plastic blade Grips.
Metal blade grips.
and Plastic Blade Grips plus dampered shaft ( semi articulated head).
in my videos i'm using the less expensive ones ( U$S 170 ), the plastic blade grips are good for stability.

@krumrick2 Thank You! I'll go with the 800KV Century Motor and the $170.00 3 Blade head like yours. I can probably stay with the CC ICE 100 since it's a 6S setup and can go up to 100A. Don't see the reason to go HV on the ESC?

@flynlyons
Nice...post video soon as finish the mods !...
You are right about the Ice 100 vs HV 80 ( or 110/120), just I recommend in case future upgrades in motor Etc.
Btw...I mentioned the flight time...up to 9 minutes with old EVO 5000maH battery.
Did you see my last video of this AS350 in open field and forward flights ????
