My point is not to show off (I'm not that good). Proof of concept to get my Roland HD-1 connected to Rock Band 3 (PS3) using MadCatz Midi Pro Adapter. I had one challenge Green crash (should be on the right and no way to move cymbal with this kit), solved that problem by adding another cymbal. Overall very happy with my investment and glad I did not go with ION Drums.

  • Can you show me how to play "Creep" by Radiohead on drums?!

  • @brentliston Come on over!

  • That is one sexy setup. How much did it cost?

  • @rawrximxaxdinosawr Drums (600$), added another cymbal/rod etc... (120$), MadCatz Pro Adapter (60$), RockBand 3 (19$). I have a real music room with real guitar/keys/amps and leverage kit for real music as well! Total fun for entire family and friends.

  • Cool. I also have an HD-1 and was considering having a second crash... glad to see it can be done. I will have to look into this.

  • @Ateixeira690 I wish I could of done that, but no extra joints/rods to place the cymbal on the right :-). At the same time I did not want to lose left cymbal as I use it lots for real druming. Bonus I have 3 now and loving it.

  • @VirtualMan007 couldn't you simply rearrange the original crash to place it where you put the extra cymbal? I have the HD-1, but it would be awfully expensive for me to buy and extra cymbal since i dont live in the US...

  • great video. i had a lot of questions about this subject you really anwser all of my questions thank you very much.

i am gone buy it as soon as i can.

  • @komani86 Total cost adding another cymbal/rod etc... (120$) and no lag, sensativity is all controled from the pro midi adapter when playing with RB3. A great ROI on many levels!

  • Great, wanted to see a video if this was possible! I have no experience with drums, and I want to use RB3 + midibox to learn drums. but the green crash, how much did it cost you and was wonderin' if you have trouble with sensitivity of adding another drum cymbal
