Just wondering.. how did this work with Imogen Heap? Did she allow them to use the sample from her original piece, or did they steal it from her, and being Jason Derulo, he made it famous and got away with it..?

of course she allowed them to sample her. People are so ridiculously quick to sue these days the record company wouldn't allow some new artist who hasn't even made them money yet take that risk

@rikku38 (Like any other artist that samples...coughRihannacough)He had to submit a proposal and then buy the rights unless Heap just gave them to him. In interviews she's very happy for him. Besides, imagine how many people listen to this, not knowing who Heap is and go to check her out after! Letting someone sample your song is an easy way of doing some self-promoting. She's banking on this just as much as he is. :)

And really? It doesnt sound anything like heap's song? have you even heard it?? or are you deaf? Let me explain... song consists of notes/lyrics. First three lines - exactly the same. But ur rite... not similar AT ALL! :P
