I filmed the implosion of the Kingdome on March 26, 2000. I added some special effects to this short film and John Cougar Mellencamp's "Crumblin' Down" song as a soundtrack.
The Kingdome was destroyed by Controlled Demolition, Inc. At the time, this event set a world record for the largest implosion of a concrete building. Quest field home of the Seattle Seahawks is where the Kingdome use to be located.
The Kingdome was the home stadium of both the Seattle Mariners and Seattle Seahawks. The NBA Seattle Sonics also played at the Kingdome for their 1978-1979 season. It also hosted three NCAA final four championships and numerous rock concerts including the Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin.
