I still have the 45.. i loved this song.. my Mom thought it was giving me idea.. but... in all honesty I had those ideas long before the song... it just drove me onward!!!
@rainspirit100 Yes, I do think that it could have been those reasons too. I didn't think much about the fact that they were a female band. If I like a song, it doesn't matter who, and I really liked "Butterboy." Coincidentally, at the time it was on the radio, I liked this girl at school with really long straight hair, like June Millington.
@57highland OR do ya think it could be that they are female and in the early and mid 70's they were WAY ahead of their time, industry not ready for wimmin with such talent - still a "boys" club
Where did you get this 45 mix? I bought the CD from Amazon but on the album version of this song the vocals seem muffled. I looked on iTunes, everywhere, and can't find this as a single.
@57highland Yes, and it happens theother way, too (a British group will have NO hits in the UK, but will be rather successful in North America, like Wang Chung, Escape Club, and so forth).
Looked for this forever!!!!
and damn...just cuts off! (bummer)

@eleazarfashion This is a vinyl 45 I bought in 1975. It was on Casablanca records in the U.S. at that time.
