106 rallye 1.6 16v
145bhp 117lbft (Rolling road same day,)
s1 gearbox with quaife diff,
0-120mph, max 7k rpm in 5th,
fully standard trim car,

vid upside down due to phone fitting in dash that way,

goes well for only 145bhp, speedo is abit jerky in first and second gear due to wheel spin and the diff transfering power between wheels, speedo is only on one driveshaft,

@ Antonyr123 - yer your right, they did alter the second gear to reduce 0 - 60 time, ive seen the vid on here, its an old top gear film where they were testing hot hatches.

@antonyr123 its a JP4 engine with vts cams followers, inlet and ecu. I don't think the s2 box is faster to 100 lol. If your goin to ultimate street car this year i'll see you there! lol

The the S2 is faster to 100 :D

the s1 is great city gearbox but sucks in a drag race.

U race a S1 and S2 boxs on the same engines the S1 will be destoyed by the s2 after 80.

I have a 1.1 Box on my VTR block and Rallye 1.6 head. Ported & polished with newman cam with R6 Carbs.

Looks like your right lol. An s1 box is the way forward. Tops out at 125mph @ 7250rpm

But wasn't the gear ratio changed in 2nd alittle higher so it could hit 60 faster. ? im sure it was on a old topgear. Look it up ? :)

They're the same a vts just revs higher ;)
