  • As i dont have the monies, im going to dance on the spot until someone takes pity on me and gives me the kit. is this the single or dual seat version? Are you installing dual controls?

  • Hope you get your monies. This kit from Supermarineaircraft. Do a search on that word. This kit is for two. But not with dual controls. The front seat being the pilots.Dave

  • I'm insanely jealous of the workshop alone! All the best and please keep us posted on progress.

  • Glad you like our work. Hope you have seen the rest of the our postings. Dave

  • So what does a kit like this cost? and what kind of engine is going in it?

  • The kit price was £50,000. The engine we hope to use is the V6 Isuzu.with a three bladed prop. Build cost, is expected to be around the £100,000 mark. Will keep you posted as things are got for the project. Dave

  • Spitfire Aircraft Company based in Aussie use an Alison V12 which is 1200hp compared to MK3 Spitfire of 1400 hp, the kit which is 100% scale is made of wood in a similar process to de havilland mosquito is also 2000lbs (1 ton) lighter, according to them performance is better than MKIX considering the lighter weight
