Matthew Chapter 19: v3-9
3 The Pharisees also came unto Jesus, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?
4 And he answered and said unto them, Have you not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female,
5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and the two shall be one flesh?
6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.
This statement not only demonstrates the purpose for a marriage, but it also gives the reason that the two should stay together.
In this video we talk about consequences, solution and more.

  • This is great. : )

But I have a question. What do you do when the hurts your spouse are inflicting are forgiven, but they just keep repeating it. Even if you've confronted them and they apologize, but they keep tearing you apart and being unkind and unloving, what do you do? How much hurt is handleable? Even if both are Christians and praying and this hurt is still happening with no change or seemed repentance, what do you do?

  • Read Luke 17:3-4. However the person might not be saved & U need 2 pray for them..Read 1 Cor 7:12-16.If the situation is life threatening U should leave; Also seek counsel in the church first.

  • Thanks for the passage. No lives are in danger, and both parties are saved. I'll definitely read the Scripture you gave and pray. c:

  • This has truly blessed me. My husband and I just got into a terrible terrible fight and I was truly broken. I am drawing a graph now to keep me focused whenever there is tension between us. Staying focused and praying to God, that bringing us together is the best description i have ever heard. Thanks be to God.

  • Thank you Anthony - that was good!
